As a Sarasota County, Florida, native, I'm picky about my beaches.  I always compared a place to Siesta Key, which is considered one of the nicest beaches in the state (even the world).  In 1997, my family and I vacationed in Gulf County for the first time.  The pristine, white sugar sand shores rival any I've ever had the pleasure to stick my barefoot toes into. The sunsets are incredible, breathtaking, and watching one from a beach chair on the shore is a perfect way to end a day in paradise. Although we enjoy the restaurants and shopping in Mexico Beach and Apalachicola, our hearts were stolen by the breathtaking beauty of Cape San Blas.  All this beauty and serenity is yours to enjoy at our Florida pet friendly vacation rentals!

St. Joseph Peninsula State Park

We're not the only ones with high praise for the beaches of Cape San Blas.  St. Joseph Peninsula State Park was voted the No. 1 Beach in the Nation in 2002 by Dr. Beach, Stephen Leatherman! The picture to the right shows an example of the majestic dunes inside the Park.  Just minutes from our Cape San Blas vacation rental home and Barrier Dunes vacation rental properties, at the park you can launch your boat or jet skis, snorkel, hike or explore.  The park is over 2,500 acres in size, with much of it designated a wilderness preserve that's home to over 200 species of birds and other wildlife.  If you rent a boat during your visit, you can take an easy boat trip to the tip of  Cape San Blas, where you can picnic, go shelling, relax and enjoy the clear water and fabulous scenery.  The park is just five minutes from our Cape San Blas beach rentals in Barrier Dunes, and only a little further from our gulf-front home Beach Cliff.

We are committed to becoming full-time residents as soon as our youngest starts college in a few years. We care about the Cape, and we are excited to have the opportunity to introduce you and your family to it as well!  We own two of our properties and the others are owned by couples who are dear friends of ours.  We're not a big management company -- just people who love to come and enjoy a vacation on the beach, the same as you! Our By Owner Vacation Rental philosophy is we strive to make you as comfortable as possible, providing everything we think you'll need to make your Cape San Blas vacation one you'll always remember.  If you're looking for a summer beach vacation getaway for the family or a "snowbird" winter retreat, one of our four properties will be perfect for your needs.  When you rent from us, the owners, you'll get the personal touches you may not always receive from a larger company.  We're there for you at any step of your vacation planning, all the way through your departure to go back home and beyond.  If we don't have a property available that fits your needs, we'll work to help you find one that does.  The most important thing is that you have a great vacation on Cape San Blas!

Why Choose Our Rentals?

We provide many extras to make your trip hassle-free!  Linens and towels are provided (everything but beach towels) so you don't have to worry about fitting sheets and bath towels in an already overflowing car!  Beach chairs, beach cart, starter supplies of paper goods, laundry and dish washing soaps, and much more are all waiting for you at the unit.  That leaves you more room to pack important stuff like golf clubs and fishing poles!  Just added for Spring 2007, hair dryers in all our master bathrooms!  As dog owners/lovers ourselves, we know how your four-legged friend can be a member of your family.  All of our properties are dog-friendly, so you don't have to leave your best friend behind!  We have something for everybody -- our town homes feature the gated community amenities many people prefer, like two pools, tennis courts and more.  We have four Barrier Dunes n Rentals and each one has a different floor plan.  One or more of them is bound to be perfect for your trip!  Our single family home, Beach Cliff, is gulf-front and offers extras like a screened porch, private boardwalk and incredible views.
