Cape San Blas Vacation Rental Homes and Barrier Dunes Vacation Rentals brought to you "by owner" by Laurel and Rich Eiler and Rentals Cape San Blas, LLC
A court reporter since 1987, Laurel and her husband of 20 years, Rich, moved to Nashville from Sarasota, Florida, in 1991. A partner in Accurate Court Reporting, Laurel loves the legal profession and her clients, but her heart still belongs to Cape San Blas, its beaches, sunsets and crystal clear gulf.
Property owners since 1997, Rich and Laurel owned vacant land on the Cape for the first several years. In May of 2004, they realized their dream of owning a home at the beach with their purchase of Beach Cliff on Cozumel Drive. A little over two years later, in August 2006, Laurel decided to take over full-time management of Beach Cliff herself. As the owners of two miniature Schnauzers, the Eilers wanted to make Beach Cliff dog-friendly, and did so when they took over management of the house. A few friends, also dog owners, asked to add their Barrier Dunes Town Homes, Beach Time and Water's Color, to the website. RentalsCapeSanBlas.com was launched and has been serving satisfied guests since. (Laurel and Rich added their Barrier Dunes Town Home, Beachy Keen, to the rental pool after they bought it in September 2006).
Laurel's been a member of the workforce in a variety of positions since age 15. Her diverse background gives her a lot of skills that are perfect for managing vacation rentals in a Florida resort destination like Cape San Blas. Customer service, marketing, advertising, accounting, public relations and sales are all on her resume. In the end, however, seeing to it the guests of Rentals Cape San Blas properties are happy and have a fabulous Cape San Blas vacation experience is her ultimate goal.
Giving back has always been a priority for Laurel as well. President of the National Court Reporters Association in 2002, Laurel became a member of the St. Joseph Peninsula Beach Advisory Committee at its inception in July of 2005. Some months later, Laurel assumed co-chairmanship of the committee. The restoration of the beaches of Cape San Blas has been completed and Laurel will continue to work on the committee for future scheduled maintenance work and FEMA-related storm damage repairs. Visit SAVE THE CAPE for more information about the work that's being done to keep our beach healthy and beautiful and what you can do to support beach maintenance on Cape San Blas.
The Cape has become home for the Eilers, where they've made many fast friends. Port St. Joe is a true "small town America" place, where everybody knows everybody and you feel a part of the community almost immediately. The dream of full-time Gulf County residency is still off in the future, once their daughter Sydney goes off to college in 2011. In the meantime, Laurel will continue to make the drive from Nashville to the best beach in Florida and work toward offering the finest Cape San Blas vacation rentals to our guests that she can. And when she's at the Cape, she hopes the fish are biting and the sun's shining.
PROPERTY MANAGEMENT: Laurel and Rich are slowly growing their management business. Many improvements and changes are planned for 2009. |
