Come to the Florida State Constitution Convention Park and travel back in time. 4/7/07, Kid's Win Fishing Tournament - The 2nd Annual Kid's Win Fishing Tournament will be held at the Port St. Joe Marina. Described as being designed to bring families together, the day-long event will challenge children of all ages to catch the biggest and best fish in a variety of categories -- but no one will go home empty-handed! There will be prizes and giveaways for all participants. 4/7/07, Port St. Joe Easter Egg Hunt - The Easter Egg Hunt is sponsored by the Junior Service League and is held at Centennial Park. All types of antique boats, classic examples of traditional vessels, work boats, fiberglass classics, antique outboard motors and antique cars. 4/28/07 and 4/29/07, Carrabelle Riverfront Festival. 17th annual festival will feature regional artists. Art exhibited will include originals as well as limited and open edition prints. Craft artists will exhibit and have available for sale authentic custom-designed works that will include fine pottery, sculptures, unique metal art, custom wood carvings, yard art and more. Sunny Jim's Band will play American-Caribbean music. Sandsational Sandsculptors will be creating an incredible san sculpture. 05/05/07, 33rd Annual Blue Crab Festival in Panacea, Wakulla County. Thousands of residents and visitors pour into this coastal community for this fun event. parade, entertainment, fun plus dozens of arts, crafts and food booths. The event draws about 10,000 people. 05/05/07, 15th Annual Spring Tour of Historic Homes, Apalachicola. From 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., US Highway 898 and 6th Street. Many of Apalachicola's private homes and buildings can only be viewed from the exterior except for this unique day. For a $12 donation, you can take a guided tour through architectural and historically significant homes, churches, and commercial buildings. Benefits the Trinity Episcopal Restoration fund. November 2, 2007, Downtown Apalachicola Oyster Roast Friday evening, November 2nd, the Apalachicola Bay Chamber will host its annual oyster roast. Enjoy roasted and raw oysters, artichoke and oyster soup, shrimp, crabs and homemade desserts under the stars on Commerce Street. November 2-3, 2007, 44th Annual Florida Seafood Festival The oldest seafood festival in the state. If you love great seafood, arts and crafts, fine folks and wonderful entertainment all wrapped into a magnificient family atmosphere, then joing us at the Seafood Festival. The event will feature quality entertainment and maritime crafts paying tribute to the Apalachicola Bay's commercial fishermen. There is also an oyster shucking contest and oyster eating contest. November 23, 2007, Historic Apalachicola Annual Holiday Celebration This Celebration will light up Apalachicola from 4:30-8:00 pm. The streets of downtown will be lined with luminaries and filled with holiday spirit. Merchants will be open late and the sounds of carolers will echo through the streets filling the evening with Christmas spirit. The highlight, of course, will be the big guy himself.
